Procrastinating. We all do it. If you don’t start your work, it will build up and become more stressful. Here is your guide to stop procrastinating.
3 steps to stop procrastinating.
- Go into the assignment telling yourself “I’m only gonna work for 5 minutes”. This should work because 5 minutes of work is enough to break the ice and you will realize this isn’t too bad.
- 1.Remove distractions. Distractions usually include toys or fidgets on your desk or things like trash, but the biggest issue is your phone. Put it in a different room. Get rid of it!
- Use the Pomodoro technique where you split the work into 25 minute sections. This is proven to maintain 100% focus on tedious tasks such as writing an essay.
Staying consistent with your work and starting small makes it far easier in the long run.
